  2. Its block length is fixed.
  3. Data Transmission speed is high.
  4. There is no ideal time b/w the characters.
  5. A character can be transmitted at random time.
  1. It has low efficiency.
  2. Its block length is variable.
  3. D.T. speed is slow.
  4. There is variable Ideal time b/w the characters.
  5. Character are buffered into block for transmission.
